Actions have no effect on Android 9

Clicking on (green) "SET TIME" or "BEAUTIFUL" or trying to "CHANGE MOOD" has no effect on Android 9. There are no obvious exception or errors in the log: android-9.log

I've talked to two others running Android 9 and they seem to have the same issue. Using e.g. Android 8 it works as expected against the same card10.

I've tested with latest master and F-Droid nightly build.
