No output on USB serial console

No output on serial console on some laptops (tested on Framework 13 11th Gen). Input works fine though.

Steps to reproduce:

• Flash badge (first encountered on f6ffcc2c)
• Reboot into main menu
• Open serial console
• See no output
• Swear at USB (optional)
• Send CTRL-D to confirm input works (badge should reboot)

Tested with mpremote repl and picocom /dev/ttyACM0 -b115200
