Raw repl mode restarts card10

When entering raw repl mode, pressing ctrl-a, the card10 does not enter raw repl mode, but soft resets. There are no error messages or other strange behaviors.

Is it a real soft reset (that is, does the bootloader and epicardium version-splash come up), or is it just a restart of MicroPython (that is, just the current app)?
