BLE: Cannot perform actions via BLE from Pixel 2

I can pair the card10 but cannot perform any actions (no effect). Also I have to reboot the card10 regularly to be able to connect at all.

Tested with card10 companion app and various BLE apps.

I've tested with quite a few firmware versions (also 1.11) and the problem persists.

I'm using Android 9 (AOSP) on a Pixel 2, others are having this problem on other devices too. There is a corresponding issue open with the companion app, but as other BLE apps have the same issue, it looks more like a card10 BLE issue to me.
