We now have a new function Display.blit(): https://firmware.card10.badge.events.ccc.de/pycardium/display.html#display.Display.blit

I think it does what you want to achieve but is a bit more generic. Many thanks for you original contribution but I will close this MR therefore. Hope to see you develop for the card10 again :)
