flow3r backfeeds power with a battery plugged in
I've had an issue for a while with my computer not detecting flow3r with a USB C to C cable. I've also been seeing some weird behavior with flow3r pot's power LED and talking with @timonsku and @moon2 about relevant issues.
Anyhow: When battery is plugged in, the badge appears to backfeed power.
This is how it appears on the flow3 rpot:
I also have the following behavior with my laptop:
without flow3r pot:
USB C to C plugged in while flow3r is on: does not work
USB C to C plugged in, then flow3r turned on: works (stops working if i remove it after this then replug until I restart the badge)with flow3rpot:
USB C to C plugged in while flow3r is on: does not work (power LEDs flashes at low intensity implying that the only power it's getting is flow3r backfeeding)
USB C to C plugged in, then flow3r turned on: worksalso, if I go from the state where it's not seeing it to power cycling too fast, it does not detect it. it only does so if i wait a little bit then retry, even if I don't replug.
timon suspects this 100ohm resistor can be replaced with a schottky diode to fix this issue:
